Global Outreach

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

Mission & Purpose

Our primary missionary endeavor is to support the work of those sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in Salem and around the world. We understand not everyone can travel around the globe sharing the Good News, so we partner with those who can.

From local organizations to international outreach, we want to stand with our brothers and sisters in Christ who are engaging in the culture, building relationships, and discipling believers across the world.

We aim to:

  • Support the work of 3 international ministries (in Kenya, Central Asia, and Indonesia) and 5 local ministries including the Marion Polk Food Share (you can see our Food Bank page here)
  • Invite our body to participate in prayer and in person
  • Give back to the global community through prayer and with physical resources

We do this by:

  • Monetarily supporting the work happening in our three countries of interest and through local support in Salem
  • Sending short-term teams to help
  • Volunteering in our community

INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS

Amani Fellowship

The specific name of the mission in Kenya is Amani, which means peace. We are supporting this mission organization to help 50 orphans in Kenya to have a better life with basic holistic provisions which sustain and support their well-being. This ministry is spearheaded by Phyllis Featherstone, who continues as our lead person, even though she has moved to St. George, Utah.

Central Asia Region

We currently partner with a ministry in this region but cannot divulge where the work is going on due to the sensitive nature of what they are doing. To protect all those who are serving we ask you to pray for the National Team.

PARI

Through PARI, a ministry in Indonesia that is ministering to the Sunda people of West Java, we are supporting an evangelistic team in Tasik. The team consists of three people and family members. Our goal is to help them establish home churches in the area and to reach their neighbors for Christ.

Sunda people group consists of about 40 million people in an area of Indonesia about 1/3 of the size of the State of Oregon. There are very few Sunda language churches and the number of believers is small compared with the size of the population.

Team Naphtali is ministering in a heavily Muslim area.
